Ogun State-owned airline, Gateway Air, has announced the commencement of new flight operations connecting key cities across Nigeria, as part of efforts to boost connectivity and enhance travel convenience.
The development was disclosed in a weekend statement by the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to Governor Dapo Abiodun, Hon. Kayode Akinmade.
According to the statement, the airline will begin scheduled flights on Monday, April 13, 2026, covering the following routes: Iperu–Abuja, Abuja–Port Harcourt, Abuja–Calabar, Abuja–Jos, and Iperu–Kano.
Gateway Air stated that the one-way flights will operate four times weekly—Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays—offering passengers flexible and reliable travel options. Economy fares are priced from ₦100,000.
The airline noted that the expansion represents a major milestone in improving regional accessibility, while reinforcing its commitment to delivering efficient and dependable air transport services. It added that the initiative is also expected to stimulate economic activities and strengthen inter-city connectivity across the country.
Passengers are advised to book early and follow the airline’s official communication channels for updates on schedules and other travel information.
