A new administration has taken charge at the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Abeokuta Branch, following the formal handover of leadership from Engr. Olumayowa Ayodeji Idowu, FNSE, to Engr. Dr. Adekunle Musa, FNSE, after the completion of Idowu's 2024–2026 tenure.

Speaking during the transition ceremony, the outgoing Chairman expressed fulfillment in handing over a stronger, better-equipped branch. Idowu noted that assets acquired, initiatives introduced, and partnerships cultivated during his two-year stint belong to the branch and serve as a baseline for future progress.

"Leadership is not simply about what happens while you occupy an office. What is equally important is the condition in which you leave the institution," Idowu stated, challenging the incoming executive to surpass his administration's records.

Expressing full confidence in his successor, Idowu highlighted that Musa who served as Vice Chairman during the 2024–2026 executive possesses the institutional memory and experience required to drive continuity while introducing fresh perspectives.

Reflecting on his "Engineering of Impact" philosophy, the immediate past Chairman signaled his readiness to serve the professional body at the national level. He stated that his commitment to advancing the engineering profession remains steadfast beyond regional leadership, provided he enjoys the backing of the society's members.

In his inaugural remarks, incoming Chairman Engr. Dr. Adekunle Musa, FNSE, commended his predecessor's contributions and pledged to consolidate existing gains. Musa promised an inclusive 2026–2028 administration, working alongside past chairmen, branch elders, and key stakeholders to elevate the branch's professional standing.
