    OLUGBESAN ADETUNJI DECLARES FOR IJEBU-ODE FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY SEAT, PROMISES GRASSROOTS-FOCUSED REPRESENTATION

    Hon Adetunji Olugbesan, has officially declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat for the Ijebu-Ode Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections under the umbrella of APC.


    Speaking during his declaration on April 12 2026 in Ijebu-Ode, Adetunji Olugbesan outlined a vision centered on people-oriented governance, stressing the need for government policies to directly impact citizens at the grassroots level.


    The APC Aspirant. Hon. Adetunji noted that while political leaders often speak about serving the people, such rhetoric has not always translated into tangible outcomes.


    Hon. Adetunji Olugbesan, who is a renowned tax professional and public affairs advocate said 

    his mission is to ensure that everything meant for the people’s services, benefits, and entitlements is effectively delivered to them.


    According to Hon, Olatunji, his over two decades of experience as a tax professional, corporate and administrative sectors, including leadership roles in human resource management and participation in high-level boardroom engagements. his experiences have equipped him with the capacity to navigate the complexities of governance in Nigeria.


    He described politics as a platform for managing people and creating opportunities, adding that his professional journey has strengthened his ability to engage stakeholders and deliver measurable results.


    The European Tax Expert said he will not be a silent representative. “I will speak up, engage, and push for laws that directly benefit my people,” he assured”.


    The aspirant also emphasized his deep-rooted connection to Ijebu-Ode, citing his upbringing and early life experiences within the community as key motivations for seeking public office.


    Addressing governance challenges, Olugbesan identified the failure to effectively distribute resources from higher levels of government to the grassroots as a major issue.


    “Representation must be about impact—going back to your constituency and making a difference,” he stated.


    He further called for a shift in public expectations regarding governance, underscoring the importance of legislation as a tool for social development rather than personal gain.


    Olugbesan pledged to prioritize critical sectors such as education and healthcare, with a commitment to improving access to learning materials and strengthening public service delivery systems.


    Reaffirming his stance on transparency and accountability, he concluded by expressing readiness to serve and deliver meaningful representation to the people of the constituency.


    His declaration marks the formal entry into the race for the 2027 House of Representatives election in Ijebu-Ode Federal Constituency.
