A significant political development unfolded in Ogun State as supporters of Solomon Olamilekan Adeola formally presented his Expression of Interest and Nomination Form for the 2027 governorship election under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The distinguished Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola YAYI, formally presented his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for the 2027 Ogun State governorship election to Governor Dapo Abiodun and other key stakeholders and Party Leaders within the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The presentation jubilation, described by attendees as both symbolic and strategic, was made before the incumbent Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, alongside Africa’s foremost industrialist, Aliko Dangote, and other influential party leaders and stakeholders.
The event attracted key figures within the Ogun APC structure, including the State Chairman, Alhaji Yemi Sanusi, as well as notable former Deputy Governors such as Prince Segun Adesegun, Alhaja Salmot Badru, and Mrs Yetunde Onanuga, among others.
Sources at the gathering indicated that the nomination forms have been duly completed and are set for submission to the APC National Headquarters in Abuja, marking a major step in positioning Senator Adeola popularly known as Yayi as a consensus candidate for the party ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.
Observers note that the show of unity among party leaders at the event signals growing internal alignment within the APC in Ogun State, potentially shaping the dynamics of the forthcoming governorship race.
