Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwolu has taken a major step toward improving urban transportation with the acquisition of a new set of 24-car trains for the Red Line rail system. The addition is expected to significantly boost the line’s capacity, easing congestion and accommodating the growing number of daily commuters.
With the expanded fleet, passengers can look forward to shorter wait times and more reliable service, addressing one of the key challenges of public transit in the city. Officials say the development aligns with broader efforts to modernize
Lagos’ transport infrastructure and reduce the pressure on road networks.
For many residents, the upgrade promises a more efficient and comfortable commuting experience, reinforcing the Red Line’s role as a vital component of Lagos’ evolving mass transit system.
