The Remo Youth Association (RYA) has endorsed Comrade Dotun Opaleye, popularly known as “Zamora,” for the presidency of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), calling on youths from the Remo axis and beyond to rally support for his candidacy.
In a statement issued by the Chairman of the association, Comrade ‘Bidemi Solarin, the group described Opaleye as a committed and visionary youth leader whose track record in student activism and community engagement makes him well suited to lead Nigerian students.
According to the association, Opaleye, a proud indigene of Remo, has consistently demonstrated leadership, passion, and dedication to student welfare and national development.
The statement noted that his involvement in student politics and community service reflects a strong commitment to the advancement of students’ interests and the empowerment of young people.
The Remo Youth Association further stated that Opaleye’s vision for the leadership of NANS aligns with the group’s core values, particularly in the areas of improving student welfare, advocating quality education, protecting student rights, and promoting youth development across Nigeria.
RYA therefore appealed to Remo youths and other stakeholders to mobilise support for Opaleye’s candidacy by volunteering for his campaign, spreading awareness about his vision, and participating actively in the electoral process.
The association emphasised that backing Opaleye represents an opportunity for Remo youths to support a leader who embodies their values and is committed to championing the interests of Nigerian students.
The statement concluded with a call for unity among supporters to ensure the emergence of Opaleye as the next president of the National Association of Nigerian Students.
