Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has commended the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Tunji Disu, for the prompt deployment of an operational police aircraft to bolster ongoing security operations across the state.

The governor had earlier requested aerial support to fortify Ogun State’s security architecture and sustain the crackdown on banditry, kidnapping, and other violent crimes. IGP Disu approved the request in a swift response to the state's security needs.

Speaking while receiving the aircraft and its crew on behalf of the state government, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, conveyed Governor Abiodun’s appreciation to the police chief for his commitment to the safety of lives and property in Ogun State.

Talabi emphasized that the aircraft will enhance aerial surveillance, intelligence gathering, and rapid response capabilities for security agencies operating in the region.

"This deployment is another testament to the strong collaboration between the Ogun State Government and security agencies," Talabi stated. "That partnership continues to yield positive results in safeguarding our residents and protecting critical infrastructure."

He added that the aircraft would immediately reinforce Operation Kosaye—the state’s joint security initiative tasked with clearing kidnappers, bandits, and criminal syndicates from forest reserves, border towns, and designated flashpoints.

Reaffirming the administration's stance on public safety, Governor Abiodun assured that Ogun State will continue to invest heavily in security infrastructure to guarantee peace and foster sustainable economic development.
