Thousands of women from across Nigeria converged on Abuja for the 2026 National Women Mega Empowerment and Rally, held under the slogan “The Power of 10 Million,” in a show of unity, mobilisation, and political engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The event attracted prominent dignitaries, including the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, whose presence underscored the administration’s commitment to women’s inclusion and empowerment. Participants commended her sustained advocacy for women-focused initiatives nationwide.

Also lauded for her role in organising the rally was the Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, alongside her team, for delivering what attendees described as a well-coordinated and impactful gathering.

A major highlight of the rally was the presentation of a comprehensive Women’s Charter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The document, received on his behalf by the First Lady, outlines key demands and aspirations of Nigerian women, with expectations that it will drive policy action and deepen gender inclusion across sectors.

In their collective resolution, participants reaffirmed support for the President’s leadership, citing his administration’s women-friendly policies. The gathering also produced a strong political commitment, with attendees pledging to mobilise and deliver 10 million votes for President Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

The rally concluded on a high note, with participants expressing renewed determination to advance a unified movement under the banner: “One Voice, One Movement, One Choice.”
