The Ogun East for YAYI Support Group has intensified its grassroots mobilisation drive ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Ogun State with the unveiling of customised campaign materials for members across the senatorial district.
The event, held at the senatorial office along Old Ondo-Benin Road in Ijebu-Ode, attracted coordinators and supporters from various local government areas within Ogun East, who gathered to reaffirm their commitment to the governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.
Speaking during the unveiling ceremony, the Convener of the support group, Niyi Osoba, described the initiative as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen grassroots structures and sustain momentum for the YAYI political movement ahead of the 2027 elections.
Osoba disclosed that the Grand Patron of the group, Babatunde Osinowo, donated 2,000 customised caps and 1,000 branded vests to members across the Ogun East Senatorial District. He commended Osinowo for what he called a strong demonstration of dedication and support towards the movement.
According to him, the materials were distributed to coordinators from the various local government areas based on the number of registered members submitted from their councils, with the aim of enhancing grassroots identification and mobilisation efforts.
He noted that representatives from eight out of the nine local government areas in Ogun East attended the distribution exercise, while Ogun Waterside Local Government was absent at the event.
Also addressing members at the gathering, Dr. Mrs Binta Shoge praised Osinowo for his encouragement, generosity, and leadership role in strengthening the support structure ahead of the 2027 governorship race.
She described the donation of campaign materials as a symbol of unity, loyalty, and collective commitment towards the actualisation of Senator Adeola’s governorship aspiration, adding that members of the support group remain determined to intensify mobilisation efforts across communities in Ogun East.
The event featured interactions among supporters, distribution of campaign materials, and renewed pledges by members to expand grassroots engagement in support of YAYI’s political ambition in Ogun State.
