A spirit of gratitude and celebration filled Abraham’s Tabernacle as eminent Nigerians, family members, and associates gathered to honour former Ogun State Governor, Otunba Justus Gbenga Daniel, at his 70th birthday thanksgiving service, at Abraham's Terbanacle, Sagamu.
The solemn yet uplifting ceremony was widely described as a powerful testament to the fulfilment of God’s glory in the life of the elder statesman, Gentleman whose journey was extolled as that of a true pathfinder in leadership and service.
Clergy at the thanksgiving service offered prayers of appreciation, emphasizing the significance of attaining the milestone age of 70 in good health and enduring relevance. They noted that Otunba Daniel’s life reflects divine favour, steadfast faith, and a legacy of impactful contributions to governance and national development.
In sermons and tributes, speakers highlighted his strides in Ogun State’s transformation during his tenure as governor, as well as his continued influence in political and socio-economic spheres. He was praised for blazing trails and setting standards worthy of emulation by emerging leaders.
The event attracted a distinguished gathering of political figures, his Excellency Ademola Jackson Adeleke, Governor of Osun State, Former Excellencies Alhaja Salmot Badru, Ibikunle Amosu and Alh. Lam Adesina Royal and traditional leaders Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III (Okukenu IV) Alake of Egbaland, Oba (Dr.) Adetoye Mojeed Alatishe, Otunba Hon Ademorin Adekuye, Otunba Adekunle Hassan, Otunba Kunle Soname, Otunba Deji Osibogun, among others well-wishers from across the country, underscoring his wide reaching impact and enduring relationships.
In his remarks, Otunba Daniel expressed profound gratitude to God for His grace and guidance over the years. He also appreciated his family, friends, and supporters for their steadfast loyalty, reaffirming his commitment to continued service to humanity.
The thanksgiving service concluded with prayers for greater accomplishments, as the celebrant steps into a new phase of life—one widely regarded as a crown of honour and divine fulfilment.
