President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in the United Kingdom for a two-day historic State Visit at the invitation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The Nigerian leader, accompanied by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, touched down at London Stansted Airport at exactly 3:18 p.m.
On arrival, President Tinubu was received on behalf of the Royal Family by Mark Bevan, alongside Nigeria’s Acting High Commissioner to the UK, Mohammed Maidugu, and other senior government officials.
A delegation of Nigerian senators, governors, and ministers were also present at the President’s hotel to formally welcome him.
During the visit, President Tinubu and the First Lady will be hosted at Windsor Castle from Wednesday, March 18, to Thursday, March 19.
The State Visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations between Nigeria and the United Kingdom, while also creating opportunities to deepen economic cooperation and attract investment from both countries.
The visit underscores ongoing efforts by the Tinubu administration to expand Nigeria’s global partnerships and drive economic growth through strategic international engagements.
