The Ogun State Government has appointed Feyisara Bolarinwa-Adebowale as the new Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, succeeding the late Adesina Olanloye.

The appointment was announced in a statement signed by the State Head of Service, Kehinde Onasanya, who noted that the selection followed a rigorous, merit-based process in line with the state’s procurement laws.

According to the statement, Bolarinwa-Adebowale emerged through a competitive exercise involving the screening and interviewing of qualified candidates who had completed the Executive Training Validation and Development Programme within the management cadre of the state civil service, and who met the required competencies for the role.

A seasoned legal practitioner, Bolarinwa-Adebowale was born on May 22, 1978, in Ibadan. She began her public service career as a State Counsel in December 2005.

She attended Anglican Girls’ Grammar School, Ijebu-Ode, obtained her law degree from Olabisi Onabanjo University (formerly Ogun State University), and completed her professional training at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus.

Before her elevation, she served as Deputy Director of Civil Litigation in the Ministry of Justice and was later seconded to the Bureau of Public Procurement as a Legal Officer.

The Head of Service said her appointment reflects the reform-driven agenda of Governor Dapo Abiodun to strengthen accountability and due process in public procurement, ensuring adherence to global best practices.

Onasanya congratulated the new Director-General and urged her to discharge her responsibilities with diligence, integrity, and strict compliance with the laws guiding public procurement in the state.
